Ashwani Kumar today in his briefing here said, 66 lakh families under NFSA (National Food Security Act) will get Rs. 1000 in their bank accounts directly starting from next Monday. Beneficiaries don’t need to fill any form, as Govt will use its database to identify them, he said. This will add Rs. 660 crore burden to State exchequer, he added.
He also said that the Gujarat govt will send 100 Dhaman-1 ventilators to Delhi, the Chief Minister has decided today after a video conferencing with Rajkot based Jyoti CNC that has developed and manufactured Dhaman-1 using swadeshi technique. Jyoti CNC has already made announcement to donate 1,000 Dhaman-1 to Gujarat government. The first such Dhaman-1 was today presented to Rajkot district administration. 100 Dhaman-1 will be sent to Ahmedabad.

Out of this Rs 36,659 crore, Rs 27,442 crore has been sent through CSS and CS. While Rs 9,717 crore has been sent under the welfare schemes of the state governments. CSS is the centrally sponsored scheme under PMFS, while CS is the central sector. Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of State for Finance, has also reported this in a tweet.
